Compliance Audit

This is the most comprehensive audit which will review everything from hiring documentation all the way to exit process and everything in between. Additionally, a sample of files will be audited to check for consistency in the application of company policies.

Employee File Audit

This audit checks if employee files contain the required information for compliance with relevant employment laws (e.g. mandatory training records) and anything that should not be in files will be removed to reduce the liability of retaining out of date documentation.

Employee Handbook Audit

This audit will review the content of employee handbook against company policies and current employment law and best practice to mitigate risks of being out of date and non-compliant.

Employee Contract and Non-Compete Audit

This audit will review the contract of employment template to ensure it is compliant with current employment laws and does not contain any discriminatory provisions. Additionally, non-competes will also be checked for compliance with the current employment laws.

Exempt vs Non-Exempt Audit 

This audit will review employee classification against FLSA criteria and any state specific laws pertaining to overtime exemptions. This will include a review and analysis of the duties and responsibilities of the employees designated as exempt but the company.

Pay Equity Audit

This audit will identify if pay inequities exist within the company and what factors – like race or gender – may influence compensation and recommendations will be made as to corrective actions that could or should be taken in compliance with the 2023 "Transparency" law to mitigate equal pay lawsuits.

Wage and Hour Compliance

This audit is a review of a company's wage and hour practices and policies. Due to the fact that wage and hour lawsuits are one of the most commons ones in the US, many companies do these as a precautionary  measure to reduce litigation risks.

Right to Work Audit

This audit will review employee files for compliance with Right to Work checks legal requirements to ensure full compliance. This includes verifying visa documentation for any migrant workers on a work visa, and ensure that E-Verify records are current.

A simple audit is one where we review a sample of files, documents or policies. If more files or all files, documents or policies are to be reviewed, the audit will take longer.
